Class 3 Trip

On Tuesday 12th November the Class 3 children enjoyed a visit to Leeds City Museum.  They had the opportunity to explore the vast array of exhibits ranging from Life on Earth, Ancient Worlds, Living with Death, and The Collectors Cabinet which included a skeleton of a Moa, once one of the largest birds to ever roam the earth.  The children spent the morning exploring the four floors of exhibits having the opportunity to try on some costumes and even a bit of hands-on piano playing!  The afternoon consisted of an Ancient Greek workshop where they were able to handle the artifacts using cotton gloves.

We asked some of the children what was their favourite part of the museum: -

Acer said: “You had to look for the pots in the displays, which was really good, and I really liked the Mummy.”

Anna said: “I liked the animals on the bottom floor, there were stuffed ones and skeletons, and you could try on replica animal skins.”
