Following the theme of the great Fire of London the children in Class 1 made biscuit houses. After making a large house together, they then tried out a new technique, they made their biscuit houses into stained glass houses by melting boiled sweets into the centre. The Great Fire of London started on Sunday 2nd September 1666 in a baker's shop on Pudding Lane.
