On Friday 19th May 6 pupils from Chapel Haddlesey joined 18 children from across the Federation joined over thirty schools at Oulton & Woodlesford Sports Rugby Club near Wakefield to play in a tag rugby tournament run by a company called ACE. Alexandria, Annabel, Austin, Harley, Hope and Ruby and played their hearts out. They were very nervous and unsure in their first game but by the 7th they had it all sorted thanks to a coaching referee called Shane that they were lucky to have for 6 of their matches. There was some great teamwork demonstrated throughout the day. The team won 1 game, lost 2 and drew 4 so a super achievement. At the end of the tournament every pupil from each school that participated received a medal and a certificate. Well done to everyone who took part. Thank you to Mr Rich, the federation PE lead and Head of School at Barlow for organising for the federation to attend the event and to Mrs Hall for accompanying the Chapel Haddlesey children on the day.
