Joe Spooner

There was a real focus on online safety in Spring Term 1.  Each class watched videos shared by One Day Creative that focussed on safety when gaming online and also a general overview of online safety.  The children impressed staff with their knowledge and understanding of not sharing personal information online.

PCSO Joe Spooner visited school on 2nd February to host an assembly for children in Year 1 to Year 6 to talk about online safety.  Joe talked about cyber bullying and digital footprints.  The children were surprised to find out that even though you can delete information from the internet, it may already have been captured by someone and be accessible forever.

When asked what they had learnt from the sessions the children said:-

Teddy:- Don’t talk to people you don’t know online.

Rae:- Don’t talk to strangers or give personal information, they might be hackers.

Annabel:- I had lots of friends on Roblox but didn’t know lots of them.  Sine the PCSO came to school I’ve deleted them and now only have 4 that are friends and relatives.
