Coronation

We held a red, white and blue themed non-uniform day, in celebration of the coronation of King Charles III. We engaged in activities all week which tied in to this very special occasion. Craft Club created crowns, Jenson created a union flag in Lego club, Class 2 designed a garden fit for a king, Class 3 drew portraits of King Charles and so much more!

Mrs Smith prepared a truly British lunch of fish and chips served in a traditional chip shop style along with a decorated crown biscuit.  The children helped Mrs Smith to cook a Coronation quiche and decorate a cake as a union flag using delicious fresh fruit.

The week was rounded off with an open afternoon for families and bake-sale.  There were some fun activities on offer, including a treasure hunt and themed crafts. Thank you to everyone who donated buns and cakes, some were so beautifully decorated!  Thanks to the donations you have raised a fantastic £166.87.  Half of the funds raised will go to the charity MIND as nominated by the Wellbeing Team and the other half will be used to buy resources for the pastoral team. It was lovely to see so many families attend the open afternoon.
