The children in Class 3 have been enjoying learning about how the country’s tax system works. They have explored: What are taxes? What are they used for? The children had a great discussion about whether taxes should have to be paid. As you can imagine, there were some differences of opinion which were all explored with both sides of the argument being given.
The children completed a few small activities where they learnt about all the different services which are provided using taxes from the government. The children had great fun deciding what services they felt were important to them and were very good at explaining their reasoning. I think we may have a few politicians in the making!
